Dr Mboyi's patient testimonials

Here are some of Dr Mboyi’s patient testimonials that we’ve received from those patients and families who we’ve provided care for over the years. I received help from Dr. Mboyi with cancer that I was recently diagnosed with. Dr. Mboyi along with the staff showed immense support during my treatment. I did not encounter any problems though out the process. I was scared at the beginning but they gave me hope and told me that everything is going to be ok all I will need to do is focus on finishing my treatment. I thank Dr. Mboyi and her team for the hard work and care that they have shown me throughout my treatment.

Patient Testimonial of Mrs DT Ntuli

My journey with cancer…
Feedback on treatment and operation: The wound healed well and I had no complications except the sensation on the arm which I was told is normal. Chemotherapy: When I started it was a challenge with emotional trauma, physical changes, and a bit of nausea, but the most difficult was the discoloration of my body with black spots, then my right arm nerves were painful and swelling. The first part of chemo was challenging with immune boosters making me have headaches, back pains, and sometimes mood swings. All went well.
Thank you to the team of Dr. Mboyi for all the support and encouragement. Speaking to Peter, Teresa and Bronwyne made me feel like being at home. Dr. Mboyi thank you for allowing me to open up to you like a sister, I could tell you all my worries and concerns and you always had time to listen to me. My second session of chemotherapy: The treatment was basically all happening while I was sleeping. The challenge was I could not sleep at night but soon all changed with a slight change in treatment and I appreciated everything. The other challenge is still the sensation on my arm and the itchiness on the part that the pipe after the operation. My tiredness is gone I am walking 5km a day. I never consumed any nausea tablets. Radiation: I am still to go there but do not expect anything less (in terms of treatment). Lastly, I am truly happy to do my treatment and I am praying this disease is completely cured not for me only but for all patients. Thank you all for saving our lives. God Bless abundantly.

Kind regards

Mrs. DT Ntuli

Testimonial from Sheila

Good afternoon Dr Mboyi,

THANK YOU! Today is day 2/10 of my treatment preceding my short break. So far I have cried, snorted, complained, been scared, depressed and even confused because I could not wrap my head around this dreadful condition. Before we met on Monday I was sceptical, but now I feel on top of the world and I thank you for that. Your team that is assisting me have welcomed me and my dramas as part of the family. Teresa is the best listener and comforts me during my most low moments, Marcia and even Bronwyne – much love for them too. I cannot leave out your greatest powerhouse at Netcare Pinehaven, Zanele. She always makes me feel like I’m in good hands where my situation is concerned. All in all, I just want to say I am so grateful, especially for managing my pain. Stay forever blessed.

Testimonial from the Nkayi Family

The day we walked into your consulting room we were overwhelmed, anxious and scared of the unknown future post my mother’s diagnosis with cancer, and you provided us with hope and optimism, including light at the end of the tunnel. Your professional care and support during the ups and downs of chemotherapy kept us going and provided my mother with enough strength to fight for more years. My mother would like to thank you and your staff for making this journey a smooth ride. We are most grateful to your nurse, Marcia, who went the extra mile in providing medical care with a smile from mornings to evenings. Please keep up the excellent work and continue to be the best in your field of medicine as we need more doctors like you.

Testimonial from Danisile

My name is Danielle and I am a one-year cancer survivor. My story began in July 2017 when I was admitted to hospital due to a very sharp pain on my left lung. X-rays were done and results came back showing that I had pneumonia. They put me on several IV antibiotics, but after a few weeks with no improvement, they took me to theatre for a bronchoscope of which the results showed something suspicious. I was then scheduled for a CAT SCAN and the results confirmed I had cancer, and that was in August 2017.

Dr Mboyi came to my rescue of which she suggested I be transferred from Brenthurst hospital to Busamed hospital whereby I was scheduled to go for radiation which was for 20 days. I was then given some rest to heal from radiation for the whole of September 2017. Then chemotherapy was scheduled for October 2017 whereby I was to go for my treatment every after three weeks. At first, the treatment was okay, I did not have any problem. I underwent eight cycles and during my sixth session, I started experiencing problems. I fell sick, had nonstop headaches, fatigue, sore muscles and joints and the worst of all nausea but I managed to keep it under control. I was forced to live a healthy lifestyle, exercise and to take good care of my self with the support I had from my family, and the nurses in the hospital, but more especially the love and care I got from the nurses from my doctor’s rooms Theresa and Marcia. They were so loving and caring and they still are. I wish for them to keep it up with the great job they are always doing, especially with their patients.

As for my treating doctor, Dr Mboyi herself, I am really grateful that she became my doctor. It was through her job well done that I’m still alive and kicking and that everything is going so well on my side. I love the facility, hospitality and I wouldn’t even ask for more than to praise and worship all that Dr Mboyi and her team have already done for me. I really am thankful and grateful for everything, and if anyone is diagnosed with cancer I’d recommend they make an appointment to go visit my beloved and hard-working oncologist and her team. It is with great pleasure to say that I’ll forever be thankful for the love, care and kindness I experienced at Parklane oncology department (Dr Mboyi’s Room). Thank you so much for everything.

Testimonial from Nnana

I was diagnosed with cancer of the breast, and started my treatment with Dr Mboyi two years ago. Meeting with the doctor set me at ease and her caring approach made all the difference to me. The treatment was not what I expected. It was not so bad, as all the staff made my journey easy. I enjoyed all the support up to the last. I would recommend Dr Mboyi to my family and friends as the facility and staff has a wonderful atmosphere and sets my mind at ease.
